Parking Citation Changes

Beginning Feb. 16, 2009 changes will be occur in the processing of parking citations. These changes are being implemented by Parking Management Bureau (PMB). PMB is the agency used by the University to process all parking citations, appeals, and payments. As of Feb. 16, all citation payments must be made online. Citations are no longer being issued with payment envelopes and payment by mail will no longer be accepted by PMB.

In addition, parking citation appeals must also be submitted online. Previously, hard copy forms were available at University Police or could be downloaded off of the PMB Web site. University Police will no longer be issuing or accepting citation appeal forms in person once this change is implemented.

All parking citation payments and appeals can be completed on the Parking Management Bureau Web site at http://www.pmbonline.org.

Study Skills Workshops for February

The Student Learning Center is offering 6 study skills workshops in February and would like staff and faculty to help get the word out to students. In an effort to reduce our copying costs and save paper, we are no longer distributing hard copies of the Study Skills Workshop Flyer to all staff on campus. Our updated workshop schedule is now posted on our Web site. If you would like to be on the email list to receive an electronic copy of the flyer to print or if you would like to request a hard copy or copies to be sent to you or your department, please contact Christine Connerly.

From our evaluations we know that most students hear about study skills workshops through a faculty member, coach, or mentor. The evaluations also show that students found the workshops most helpful with the following five areas: Better Overall Study Habits, Organization, Time Management, Preparing for Exams, and Reading Skills.

Please encourage students to attend these workshops and the others that will be offered throughout the semester. The Student Learning Center welcomes your questions, comments, feedback, or suggestions.
