Legion Avenue Closure Notice

To alleviate traffic congestion and parking difficulties during spring semester residence hall closing, Legion Avenue will be closed between Citrus Avenue and Warner Street on Thurs., May 21, and Fri., May 22, from 7am - 6pm. University Housing and Food Service and the University Police Department ask that you use an alternate route during this time. Thank you for your cooperation, it is greatly appreciated.

Today and Tomorrow: Criminal Justice Problems and Solutions, May 14

Three 30 minute presentations moderated by Michael Coyle (CSU, Chico Department of Political Science).

Graduating seniors of the Criminal Justice program have worked diligently all semester to identify problems in the Criminal Justice System and recommend a body of proposals to amend them. A Q&A session follows.

Main Payroll Release Time Changed for May Pay Period

Due to the recent change in the campus summer work schedule, the release time for main payroll distributed on Friday, May 29, 2009 has also changed. Since the regular campus hours that day are 8am until 5pm, we have moved the official release of payroll back to the normal 4pm time. Please note that only the time of the release has changed, the procedure through which the departments pick up the payroll from Cashiering will remain the same.

CSU, Chico Employees in Need of Donated Leave Credits

The following employees are in need of donated leave credits:

• SHERRY BOYD, (Staff, Finance and Marketing Department)
• DENISE GAVELLO (Staff, Accounting Operations) Employee is using Family Care catastrophic leave: only vacation credits may be donated.
• TODD GRUBERT (Staff, Facilities Management Services)
• SUE PETERSON (Faculty, Communication Arts and Sciences) Employee is using Family Care catastrophic leave: only vacation credits may be donated.
• ELENA PATTON (Staff, Facilities Management and Services)
• RICHARD WINSLOW (Faculty, Music Department)
• MARY SOUZA (Staff, Athletics)

Any CSU, Chico employee who accrues sick leave or vacation leave credits may donate leave credits to other eligible employees on the CSU, Chico campus, regardless of bargaining unit affiliation. Associated Student employees and CSU, Chico University Research Foundation employees are not eligible to donate leave credits to CSU, Chico employees.

If you wish to donate leave credits, you will need to sign the catastrophic leave donation list - which is maintained at the Payroll/Benefits Customer Service Counter (Kendall 222).

Because your signature is required, your donations cannot be accepted over the phone or via e-mail.

Per Catastrophic Leave Program guidelines, only the Disability Programs Office or a union representative may solicit for Catastrophic Leave donations; solicitation by any other party is prohibited.
