California State University, Chico is pleased to announce the University Box Office is now online. Recently installed software allows real-time purchases online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. “The addition of online purchasing provides a convenient way to purchase tickets any time while reducing traffic and parking concerns for the Box Office patrons,” said Director of University Public Events Dan DeWayne. “During the last couple of weeks, the Box Office has been operating on a soft roll-out of the new system, and they have not experienced any problems. In fact, patrons who have taken advantage of the service have commented about the efficiency and smooth operation online sales provides.
“We anticipate many folks choosing to purchase online for all University programs, including the School of the Arts student and faculty performances, Associated Students programs, Chico Performances events, alumni activities, some athletic competitions, and all other University Box Office ticketed events,” said DeWayne.

The incredible all volunteer motion picture project, “Beowulf: Prince of the Geats” sails onto the CSU, Chico campus Friday, Sept. 4 at 7pm. Presented by Ink Blot Arts, the project (affectionately called BPOG by the cast and crew) used over 500 volunteers working in six states, the Gulf of Mexico and Norway working with literally no budget to create what some Beowulf scholars are calling the most accurate film version of the Old English epic poem.

The film was written, produced and directed by four time Emmy Award winning CSU, Chico alum (Class of ‘75) Scott Wegener.
For more information, go to the Web site or search for Ink Blot Arts on Facebook. We hope to see you there.
